Okay, I’m going to be honest. I was as lost as a small child in a supermarket during the BCM112 craft and digital making lecture. It’s not that I didn’t try, I DID. But it just didn’t quite click.

Cue, a small epiphany with my Rookie Tech crew (digital artefact).

So as it turns out, the idea and concept behind animation of inanimate objects and transformations resonated quite nicely with our 3D printing medical episode for our digital artefact.

We decided that a case study of printing hearts in order for more efficient surgeries would enable both us and our audience to gain a thorough understanding of this transition through mediums. This heart goes from being inside a living human, to being a digital scan, to being printed as an inanimate object. Which in my opinion, is absolutely mind boggling.
